The Van der Mark brothers and Tom Hol share the idea of building a compost yard in Poland. Goal is to deliver high quality compost in order for the Polish mushroom growers to increase their quality and quantity of mushrooms. Such compost was hardly obtainable at that time in Poland.
Holpol - Compost Sp. z o.o. is founded by Van der Mark brothers and Tom Hol. Property (ground) is bought in Tarnowo and 4 bunkers and 3 tunnels compost factory is being built. The strategy of the company is to produce 540 tons of phase 2 compost weekly during 40 weeks a year.
Start production in Tarnowo facility.
Expansion of the facilities with 3 new tunnels (6 tunnels in total) and the building of spawning hall. The company aims to be the first producer of Phase 3 compost in Poland.
The Van der Mark brothers take all shares in Holpol - Compost Sp. z o.o. and they decide to build 4 more bunkers (8 in total) and 13 more tunnels (19 in total). First company in Poland to work with a top filler.
4 new bunkers en 13 new tunnels are producing as of the second half of 2007.
Extensive co-operation with CNC. CNC takes over 50% of the company’s shares.
Both shareholders take a seat in the company’s board of directors.
Both shareholders resign from the board of directors and appoint an independent managing director.
Both CNC as well as the Van der Mark brothers are represented in the company’s supervisory board.
